1st Plenary Meeting of IMPRESS Project (22 & 23 October 2014)

The 1st Plenary Meeting of IMPRESS Project has been hosted by the European University Cyprus in Nicossia, Cyprus in October, 22nd and 23rd of 2014 and it has been devoted to the following:

  • Reach consensus on the common taxonomy
  • Decode the user-requirements of D1.1 into the functional and non-functional requirements of the IMPRESS platform
  • Discuss and decide on the IMPRESS platform architecture and BPM focussing on the functionality and interoperation of the modules
  • Monitor the progress until M12 (1st Reporting period)


Also on the 23rd of October, MEGA TV Cyprus extended an invitation to EUC as member of the IMPRESS consortium for an interview. Dr George Boustras (EUC) and Dr John Galatas (KEMEA) were nominated by the consortium to participate in the interview and disseminate information regarding the project, the consortium and the IMPRESS DSS (you can see excerpt of the interview here).  

Finally, during the plenary meeting the PROACTIVE project was presented to the IMPRESS consortium. Apart from the intermediate project results the presentation was focused on the upcoming final  demonstration. PROACTIVE would provide IMPRESS a novel methodology for demonstration planning and execution based on well defined procedures. The PROACTIVE presentation can be found here.
