IMPRESS-COncORDE Workshop (22nd November, 2016 in Athens, Greece)

IMPRESS and CONCORDE , which are FP7 Security R&D projects dealing with the development of decision support tools for improving preparedness and response of Health Services involved in emergency situations, have  successfully organised a joint workshop titled “Decision Support Tools for Effective Health Emergency Management”. During this workshop, their complementary findings have been presented and feedback from public health services stakeholders have been collected. The workshop took place in Athens (Radisson Blu Park Hotel) on the 22nd of November 2016. 

The participants included more than sixty representatives from Health Authorities, Emergency Agencies, Greek Public Services, Civil Protection organizations, Research and Academic institutes and representatives of the two consortia participated to the event.

The workshop included presentations of the two projects and others on the state of the art of the European and U.S. emergency management realm, as follows:

Further to the above, in the last part of the workshop, parallel live demos of systems and components took place, which aim to improve the preparedness and coordination of response activity in case of large health crises and mass casualties.
