Work Breakdown

The work of the project is broken down into seven work packages:

WP1- EU Common Response Framework for Health Services (ECOMED bvba)

The activities of WP1 serve as an analytic basis for the realisation of the overall objectives of and requirements for the IMPRESS project.

WP2- IMPRESS System Specifications & Design (INTRASOFT INTERNATIONAL SA)

In WP2 the design of the overall IMPRESS solution and the individual DSS components will be completed, taking into account the results of WP1. Security, ethical and legal considerations will be an integral part of the design supporting the effective data and knowledge models forming the core of IMPRESS. Interoperability of emergency health services will be a core consideration in this WP. Training of stakeholders at different operational levels will be built into the design to ensure that all DSS components and incident management tool are efficiently utilised to train decision makers and responders.

WP3- Development and Integration (CONSIGLIO NAZIONALE DELLE RICERCHE)

In this work package novel information tools are developed, which complement the overall information structure incorporated in the IMPRESS platform. Five interconnected new tools are foreseen, and the work plan structure is designed in a two-iteration approach that ensures their effective implementation and integration. The sequence of the tasks goes from the most theoretical, to the most applicative, with the idea that results in earlier tasks may be directly usable in later tasks. The work package also includes the integration of the aforementioned tools into the IMPRESS DSS solution, which will take place, in parallel with development activities

WP4- IMPRESS DSS Testing and Validation (SATWAYS - PROIONTA KAI YPIRESIES TILEMATIKIS DIKTYAKON KAI TILEPIKINONIAKON EFARMOGON ETAIRIA PERIORISMENIS EFTHINIS EPE)

The testing task will include functional testing of all IMPRESS capabilities against, at first, the defined requirements and specifications. At a second stage the individual components and the overall system will be validated against the proposed Cases studies. The evaluation of the system will have three main components:

  • System validation according to End-user requirements
  • Operational-wise improved preparedness and response of Health Emergency Services
  • Data and procedures interoperability enhancement performance evaluation

WP5- Training module (AS CYPRUS COLLEGE LIMITED)

“Post-mortem” examination of crises creates great potential for learning from the successes and failures in addressing them. It is common practice for inquiries and evaluations to be set up post-crisis to identify lessons learned, and to promote accountability for actions taken during the crisis. In this Work Package information and analytical tools are developed and categorized in two main sections, the post- crisis tool and the training module. Therefore, a major outcome of this WP is a validated training functionality for health service professionals

WP6- Dissemination and Exploitation (CENTER FOR SECURITY STUDIES)

WP6 comprises all the tasks that will disseminate the achievements of the project and provide a coherent set of exploitation activity.

WP7- Management & Coordination (INTRASOFT INTERNATIONAL SA)

WP7 deals with the general management issues necessary for successful operation of the project. These include the establishment of the appropriate communication links between the project partners, the successful and on-time completion of all activities, the creation of reporting and quality control structures and procedures, the representation and communication with external entities, primarily the European Commission, and all financial-related activities concerning funds and budget allocation.
